Series 2 – Asteroid Senshi

 

Previously on ZOIDS: Element Warriors –

                Vega had awaken from his unconsciousness, and the Berserk Fury challenged Dark Raven in her rare zoid, LigerZero X. The two were last left charging their charge particle cannons…

 

                “C’mon, Liger! I know you can do it!” Raven shouted above the hum of the cannons.

Vega’s Berserk Fury moved it’s claws anxiously, ready to destroy it’s enemy.

                “You and your puny LigerZero X are the only thing that stands in the Final Fifteen’s way of becoming the Backdraft Empire, and taking over the world!” Vega laughed, his eyes glowing with vengeance.

                “We’ll it’s gonna stay that way.” Raven muttered, and pressed a button on the control panel, “FIRE, LIGER!”

There was a burst of light from LigerZero X’s mouth, and it twirled over to Vega. Berserk Fury’s release of it’s charge particle cannon was slower than Raven’s, so she assured herself victory. But something was bothering her… It was to soon for victory…

A ka-boom echoed throughout the fortress, and smoke rose through the blown away roof. Raven took no chances, turned Liger around, and headed off for Fire Wolf and her ZaberFang.

                “Wolf! You still there?”

No reply. Good, Raven thought, Tiger got here. She took Liger back to the storage compartment where all the zoids were, and the Blade Liger was gone. Mission completed. Moving the controls forward, Liger dashed out of the base and over the horizon.

 

Liger’s metallic growl echoed throughout the valley as Raven steered LigerZero X into the Element Warrior’s underground hideout. She stopped him in a storage compartment full of all type of zoids, and opened the cockpit. She looked around and breathed a sigh of relief. Alas, she was home.

Jumping down to the hard floor, she looked up at her zoid and watched the cockpit close. Eks jumped out of Raven’s zoid and tramped into the organoid room and disappeared as the door closed behind him.

                “Welcome back, X.” she smirked at her zoid, and walked into the lobby.

Air Tiger, Fire Wolf, Light Panther, and Air Tiger’s little sister, Wind Kitten, were sitting down on a circular couch all chatting. As Raven walked in, they all silenced and glanced up at their leader. Silence hovered in the air for about 10 minutes until the tips of Raven’s lips curved upwards.

                “Mission completed.” she whispered.

The group burst into laughter and happiness pushed the silence away. The little mercenary group only had a few minutes to party, as for they all were silenced this time.

                “Welcome back, Dark Raven.” a deep voice echoed throughout the room.

Raven instantly bowed, looking downward at her feet.

                “Thank you, mistress.” she softly replied.

Her mistress, Senshi X, was sitting on a recliner in the back of the room, her eyes glaring like daggers.

                “Your welcome.” Senshi X nodded, “You may continue on.” and she faded away.

Raven slowly looked up and smiled.

                “Well, we have a new addition to our zoid compartment.” she glanced at the window, “Air Tiger accomplished bringing in a blue Blade Liger from the Final Fifteen’s base. Sooner or later, we will be changing it’s blue armor to black custom armor and marking it with the Element Warrior’s symbol.” Raven concluded, glancing at her two partners in crime, Wolf and Tiger.

 

The Berserk Fury emerged from the dust that was slowly rising out of the hole in the roof, and roared in rage. It’s enemy, LigerZero X, had disappeared. The shield slowly dissolved into nothing as it shut off. Vega sighed.

                “Well, that rookie sure knows how to trick a professional pilot. They escaped and stole our Blade Liger in the process. That’s a disgrace to this fortress! But soon, soon, we will meet up again and destroy her pitiful zoid…”

 

Meanwhile, on Earth, in Tokyo, Japan, a blonde girl with two odangos in her head and pig tails coming out, just came back from a meeting in America. She was known as Neo-Queen Serenity, ruler of Crystal Tokyo, and married to King Endymion. The two have a small teenage girl about Raven’s age with sugar pink cone odangos and sugar pink pig tails coming out named Serenity – Princess Serenity.

Now Serenity was a sera senshi. She was Neo Sailor Moon, and her Inner Senshi were the Asteroid Senshi – Sailor Juno, Sailor Vesta, Sailor Pallas, and Sailor Ceres. She was the guardian of Earth, and was born to take the rule of Neo-Queen Serenity II. But that sera senshi wanted more than just fighting evil and being praised for it. She wanted to really fight…without powers – pure technology. Not some ancient old legend of powers passed down through a family.

And occasionally, she would speak her wish. But her parents strictly forbid her to leave. Not until she was pronounced queen. Now Serenity hated this. If she was queen by the time she could move on, she wouldn’t be able to anyhow, as for she had to watch over Crystal Tokyo.

It was about 3 days until her birthday, and so Serenity had a skilled plan to get her wish. Her guardian cat, Diana, was trailing behind Princess Serenity when Luna and Artemis, the palace advisors, called her off. Serenity took that chance to run upstairs and peek out the window, in where her sera senshi friends were floating in the air on a cloud.

                “C’mon, Serenity-sama!” Sailor Ceres called, waving at her princess.

                “Yeah, don’t want to be late for your trip outta here. And don’t worry about your parents. They’re taken care of.” Sailor Vesta winked.

Sailor Pallas bounced her blue orb in her hand and giggled.

                “We’ve scheduled to go to this place called Planet Zi. I heard it has mechanical things called ‘Zoids’. It sounds cool, doesn’t it?” Pallas grinned, looking at her blue-toned reflection in her orb.

Sailor Juno gently slapped the cloud.

                “Jump on, Serenity-sama.”

Princess Serenity nodded, and then stopped halfway out the window.

                “Wait. NEO MOON PRISIM POWER, MAKE-UP!!” Neo Sailor Moon stepped out of the window and climbed onto the cloud next to Sailor Ceres.

                “We’re going to take a rented starship over to Planet Zi. That should take about a few minutes and then we buy us zoids.” Sailor Pallas informed Neo Sailor Moon.

Neo Sailor Moon nodded, showing that she understood.

                “What type of zoid would you like? Just name an animal, basically. And I’ll list what there is for that category.” Sailor Vesta had out a mini-computer-type-thing with the topic ‘Zoids’ on the top.

                “Err…well, what types are there?”

                “All kinds!” Sailor Juno exclaimed excitedly as she felt the cloud lunge forward, desperately trying to carry it’s load safely.

                “All kinds?”

                “All kinds.” Sailor Pallas giggled again, “That’s what she said, isn’t it?” another giggle.

Neo Sailor Moon giggled along with Sailor Pallas. Maybe this wasn’t gonna be so bad, after all.

 

The Berserk Fury turned around to face the last of Vega’s army – 5 Shadow Fox units and 5 Lighting Saix units. That was it. And with those zoids, he was gonna kill that Dark Raven and her group.

                “Listen up! All we have to do is charge into the hideout and distract the pilots while the Lightning Saix units and I tow LigerZero X and the Blade Liger outta there. The Shadow Fox units will have to figure out how to keep the pilots away from LigerZero X and the Blade Liger. That’s their task. Clear?” he commanded.

                “Yes, sir!” all 10 pilots replied at once.

                “LET’S GO!” and they charged off, heading for the Element Warriors underground hideout.

 

Dark Raven heard noise the second Vega’s army zoids came tramping into the valley. She turned to her group, glaring at them.

                “Vega has returned. Mobilize zoids!” and she ran out to the hanger.

She stopped in front of LigerZero X, and decided to take the Blade Liger. After all, if she took LigerZero X, they would just blast her down and capture her like last time. Climbing into the Blade Liger, who now had the black armor and symbol of the Element Warriors, she charged out of the hideout and met Vega and his army right at the entryway.

                “Why, hello, Dark Raven.” Vega sneered.

Raven just ignored his comment.

                “You finally learned my name, eh?” she laughed.

                “Well, well, the little missy remodeled our armor!” one Shadow Fox pilot exclaimed.

One of the Lightning Saix growled.

                “No one remodels our custom-made armor without dying in return.” the pilot shouted.

                “Bring it on!” Air Tiger, who had mobilized the Gun Tiger, stepped up behind the Blade Liger.

Wind Kitten in her white command wolf came up slowly behind the Gun Tiger.

                “I’m here too. Don’t forget me!” she aimed her guns at a Shadow Fox.

Fire Wolf and her ZaberFang charged up on the other side of the Blade Liger.

                “We’re here to defend our zoids. You Final Fifteen have no right to do this. What’s the point in ruling the world? Eventually, someone’ll bring you down. I’m just happy Bit Cloud did early on in your plans,” Wolf spotted a black zoid shadow coming up in the distance, “And to revive yourself,” she sighed, “you dug up old things.”

The shadow had came into seeing range and appeared to be a Death Saurer, who was powering up for a charged particle cannon.

Light Panther and her Storm Sworder zoid came flying into range, hovering above the Blade Liger.

                “But, sadly enough, that’s not gonna work.” she had heard of Bang’s conquer over the Death Saurer, and had realized that this situation needed just this.

What could go wrong? They had a Blade Liger, a Storm Sworder, and other back up zoids – and even a secret weapon, who would be arriving soon. That was basically the same scene as Bang’s, wasn’t it?

                “I’m here to give you some help, Light Panther.” a gray Raynos came flying into the air and stopped next to the Storm Sworder.

                “Hoshi!” Dark Raven exclaimed.

The deep voice coming from the Raynos turned out to be a boy, who was Dark Raven’s boyfriend and was named Hoshi. He wasn’t part of the Element Warriors, although he was a mercenary. He traveled around the world searching for teams to join temporarily, and would drop ‘em after a few thousand in cash was earned. But occasionally, he turned up back at the hideout. And it always seemed at the right times, too.

                “I’m not letting you bring us down this time.” a male voice spoke from the Death Saurer, who now had a charge particle cannon ready and waiting, “Want a taste of this?!”

The charge particle cannon came flying at the small group, and the zoids all dived out of the way in time. Unfortunately for both armies, the blast hit the entrance and made it cave it, leaving no way to get it.

                “Obake, I told you not to do that unless needed!” Vega shouted.

                “I know what I’m doing Vega.” Obake, the pilot of the Death Saurer, shouted back.

Vega shut up. Maybe this would help him? Another charge particle cannon came flying at Dark Raven, and then another at Fire Wolf, and then two aimed for Air Tiger and Wind Kitten, followed by two at Hoshi and Light Panther.

                “Ahhhhh!” Raven screamed, feeling the cannon rip apart the Blade Liger’s armor.

She fell unconscious as the Blade Liger fell to it’s side, as a ruined zoid that was broken beyond repair. The same happened to everyone else. Vega acted immediately and ordered the Lightning Saix units to take Raven out of her zoid, and then have 2 Lightning Saix take Raven to the other end of the world – while as 1 Shadow Fox unit take the Blade Liger back to the base, and the other 4 spread the Element Warrior pilots and Hoshi around the world, leaving about 250 miles between each destination where they would put a pilot and their ruined zoid. The tasks were carried out in about a 15-day total, and Vega was left standing in front of the base, staring at the sunset, smirking.

                “That Dark Raven and her pitiful group never saw it coming. The Final Fifteen shall prevail! WE ARE THE BACKDRAFT EMPIRE!!” he laughed menacingly, knowing that he, Vega Obscura, pilot of the Ultimate X Berserk Fury, would soon rule Planet Zi.

 

 

20 DAYS LATER

 

 

Dark Raven opened one eye and groaned. It felt like all the bones in her body was broken. She sat up painfully and looked around. She was laying in a small clearing in a forest, surrounded by trees on all sides. She desperately tried to remember something, but whatever it was, she couldn’t.

“Where am I?” she whispered to herself, rubbing her head.

The only thing she could remember was her name - Yoshiko. But that was it. She had no idea of anything else. She stood up and walked around in the forest for a little while until she stepped out into daylight. Looking up, she saw a silver starship go by and she jumped up and down, waving.

                “Please, help me!” she called.

The starship stalled for a second and then turned to face Yoshiko. A candy pink-dressed girl jumped out of the starship and landed next to Yoshiko.

                “Hiya. I’m Neo Sailor Moon. Need help? We’re traveling to go buy my friends and I some zoids!”

Yoshiko nodded.

                “Hello. I’m Yoshiko. Yes, I seem to be stranded her…” she was interrupted.

                “C’mon in.” a green-clad girl peeked out of the ship.

Neo Sailor Moon watched the ladder fly down and took Yoshiko’s wrist, leading her to the ladder.

                “Let’s go. We’re running out of time. We rented this starship, and we only have a day.”

Yoshiko nodded again and silently climbed up, with Neo Sailor Moon at her heels.
