Dr Layon watched
his creation the Gojulas X1 being completed. Thanks to that information the
Dark Whale King had collected, the Gojulas X1 would completely eradicate the
Blitz Team, and the Fluegel Team, once and for all.
X1 looked
like a normal Gojulas but had shields, extendable blades and two long-range
buster cannons.
Together
with he, Layon, at the controls, it was the best thing in the Backdraft.
The
videocall receiver was blinking in the lounge of the Hover Cargo.
Dr Leon
was to busy over his new model of a Zaber-Fang. He didn’t have time for
videocalls.
The door
slid open and Leena stepped in. “Dad! When you’re here I wish you’d answer the
videocall!”
“What
for? It’s either Leon wanting a rematch or Harry Champ wanting you,” he
answered to interested in his new model to look at her.
“And it
could be the Zoid Battle Commission saying we won the Zi Zoid Lottery and we
get a Gysack!”
“Good
point.” Leon trudged over to the videocall receiver and pressed the ‘answer’
button.
“Torres!
You in there?” said a voice on the other end. It was Dr Layon’s.
“Oh,
Layon just you.”
“What do
you mean just me?”
“What
now, Layon?” Dr Torres answered, already bored.
“I want a
zoid battle!”
“What
for, you’re just going to lose,” Leon said, putting the leg of the Zaber-Fang
together.
“What
makes you so sure? Hmmm?” Layon prompted.
“Fine
we’ll do it. Where?”
“How
about the Mt Isoleana?”
“Okay.”
“Dad,
remind me, why are doing this?” asked Leena.
“Because
Layon challenged me, and I think this might answer our questions about last
week.” Dr Torres told her, remembering how the Dark Whale King had launched all
its zoids at the Panzer and Leon’s Blade Liger.
“Good
idea, Doc.” Jamie said. He was sitting next to Brad in the briefing room.
The Hover
Cargo rolled up to here the Dark Whale King was waiting.
Underneath
it was a lone Gojulas.
“Okay,
you guys, ready?” asked Jamie on the bridge.
“Yeah!”
responded Leena. “Get ready to mobilise, Gunsniper!” The Hover Cargo catapult
launched her out.
“Let’s go,
Command Wolf!” Brad yelled.
“Okay, go
Schneider!” Bit said.
The
catapults launched them.
But the
Gojulas X1 was waiting…
