Episode 5: The Battle of the Sand Dunes! Unveil the Republic’s Ultimate Weapon!

Prelude: On the planet Zi, 60 million light years from earth, a war is going on between the two most powerful nations on the planet: The Helic Republic and Zanevas Empire. This story takes place 100 years before Chaotic Century.

            By the time I got to the base, most of it was in ruins. There were many flaming wreckages of Command Wolves, Godos’, and a few Gordos’. My men were still fighting the overwhelming numbers of Molgas and Gators. I put my Shield Liger into overdrive and went to the battle. When I was leaving, I saw a large trap door like thing in the middle of the airstrip.

            “Where is that kid? We (explosion) need him right now! What, is that a liger? It may be John. Dawm it I am down. Oh no a Saber Tiger is coming for me!” said James.

            James’ Command Wolf then was hit badly by three Molgas. Then the Saber Tiger bit right through the neck of the Command Wolf! Wires and other zoid components were in the Saber Tiger’s mouth. Glass from the cockpit severely wounded James. Sparks were flying from James’ Zoid. When I appeared, some transmissions came through the radio.

            “John you finally shown up! Where were you, for a while we thought you deserted us!” said Jim.

            “Hey, I was just getting a new zoid okay, and the old man wanted to put me thru a test to keep it! Sorry I wasn’t there when the attack came.” I said to Jim when another transmission came thru, it was from James. He had a severe wound on his head and torso, and blood was gushing out of them, but he could talk.

            “I am glad (cough) you came John, kick that Saber Tiger’s pilot’s ass for me okay?” he said while I called for a medic.

            After he said that, two more zoids that were on our side fell. The Saber Tiger destroyed them both. I then charged the incoming Molgas with my shield up to get to the Saber Tiger. The Tiger started to fire at me while I still had my shield up. I charged him with the shield. I dropped the shield and fired the shock cannons. I destroyed the Saber Tiger while the medical Gustav came and picked up James and the other wounded soldiers.

            More Imperial Zoids were coming on the horizon, and we couldn’t hold them off if we don’t get reinforcements.

            “Sir, we’ll be overrun if we don’t use it.” said a soldier under the base.

            “Okay, mobilize the Gojulas. Open the hatch. All remaining forces fall back to the base!” said general Michaels.

We all fell back to the base and the hatch opened. A humongous zoid came up when we were all at the base. It was the Gojulas, the Republic’s secret weapon. The pilot in the Gojulas was Lieutenant Major Steve Michaels, General Michaels’ son. He fired the new super cannons at the incoming imperial forces. In one shot, they destroyed a whole division of Red Horns and Molgas. The remaining Red Horns and Molgas started to fire at the Gojulas. Hardly any damage was sustained to the huge zoid. My unit and I then went out to finish cleaning up the Red Horns and Molgas. The Imperial forces started to retreat when my unit went out. I took out three more Red Horns and five more Molgas before the General told us to return to base.

My unit was treated like heroes when we went to New Helic City; James got a Purple Heart for his injuries and courageous fighting in battle. The Gojulas went into mass production and also the special twin super cannons. James couldn’t come back to fight for a while because he needed time to heal. In six months, he was back to normal, but a lot of things happened before he came back though…
